Volunteer Opportunities









All volunteers are recognized at on our website
and are invited to an Annual Volunteer Thank You Barbeque.

Fields denoted with * are required for this form.

Office

Volunteers can work in the office any day Monday through Thursday from 10am to 3pm. Opportunities include:

  • Filing
  • Cataloging in the Library
  • Assembling education packets (BHB)
  • Checking the web for relevant cancer sources and materials.

This involves a 3 hour committment, 1-2 days a week

Mother's Day Walk

Volunteers for the Mother’s Day Walk are required to attend at least:

  • 3 committee meetings prior to the Walk
  • 5 hours the day of the Walk

In return you receive a free meal and t-shirt

Christmas Fiesta

Volunteers for the Christmas Fiesta are required to attend at least:

  • 2 committee meetings prior to the Fiesta
  • 3 hours on site set-up the week before the Fiesta
  • 4 hours the night of the Fiesta
  • Help sell Fiesta tickets

In return you receive a free meal and a free ticket to enter the Christmas tree giveaway

Standing Volunteer Committee Chair

The person who chairs this committee takes on the responsiblity of coordinating and oversighting the work of volunteers. The chair will serve for one year or more if desired. The chair will:

  • Work with the Executive Director
  • Report to the Office Manager
  • Be available for all committee meetings for the Mother's Day Walk and Christmas Fiesta unless excused
  • Attend a board meeting when discussion of events is expected
